There feature wall we made when I first picked up

There feature wall we made when I first picked up a power tool almost 4 years ago. 🛠️ We were eager new home owners but also broke, so faux shiplap it was!

Did you know Home Depot will cut plywood boards for you? It’s such an affordable way to get the shiplap look without the high cost of tongue and groove boards. These are 6” plywood boards attached with brad nails and painted white.

I love the added texture this wall provides in this bright white loft!

DIY upholstered bench seat

Zuzu approves and loves this little spot! The blue and white fabric I had on this bench was clashing with the blues in the rest of my room, so it had to be fixed!

Upholstering seats and benches is such an easy and affordable DIY to update a space! I got this herringbone upholstery fabric from my local Hobby Lobby.

Full tutorial
1. Remove the bench seat from the base using a screwdriver
2. Cut off any excess old fabric using fabric scissors
3. Cut the new fabric to size
4. Wrap the fabric around the seat and secure to the seat using a staple gun
5. Continue step 4 around the seat, pulling the fabric tight as you secure
6. Reattach the seat to the base with the screwdriver
7. Style and enjoy! You did it!

Dollar Tree Oil Dispenser Hack

Another Dollar Tree hack to match the cutting board riser I made last month! These look so cute together!

To make this one, I grabbed an oil dispenser from Dollar Tree and painted it with white acrylic paint. I needed a couple of coats of paint to get an opaque color. Then I decoupaged this cute cocktail nail on the bottom using Mod Podge. Another layer of Mod Podge to seal it. Allow to dry and she’s done!

I love that this can be done with any design you want to match your aesthetic! Grab an oil dispenser from the Dollar Tree and your favorite cocktail napkin to make one yourself!
