Making Mod Podge Pumpkins with Napkins
To get started, the materials list is relatively simple. Just a few items are needed to make these decoupage pumpkins for your fall decor!
Materials LIST
- Mod Podge
- Faux White Pumpkins
- Foam Brushes
- Cocktail napkins of your choice
- Scissors
- Gold Acrylic Paint (optional for the stem)
- Paintbrush
To start, tear apart the back white piece of the cocktail napkin so that the material is thinner. You want only to use the thin top layer of the napkin.
Remove the stem from the pumpkin. Then, apply Mod Podge all over the pumpkin with the foam brush. Press the paper onto the wet Mod Podged pumpkin and smooth it out as you go.
Wrap the decorative cocktail napkin around the pumpkin layering it overtop of itself to fit the pumpkin shape. Add more Mod Podge to hold down the napkin where needed.
Join the napkin together at the top of the pumpkin and cut any excess napkin off with the scissors.
Paint the stem of the pumpkin with gold acrylic paint and a paintbrush. Allow to dry and press the stem back into place at the top of the pumpkin.
That’s it! Add these pumpkins to your Fall decor, tablescape, or greenery. You can make these easy DIY decoupage pumpkins with any napkin designs that fit your style!
